Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 April 2026
This privacy policy explains how Pay Raise Calculator (operated by Nico Nuscheler Digital Services, see the imprint) handles personal data when you visit payraise-calc.com.
1. Controller
The data controller under Art. 4 (7) GDPR is:
Nico Nuscheler Digital Services
Schwedenstr. 25
86825 Bad Wörishofen, Germany
Email: info@handwerkwebsites.de
2. What data we collect
The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Inputs you enter (salary, raise amount, filing status, state, inflation rate) are never sent to a server. They are only used locally to compute results and may be encoded in the page URL if you choose to share or bookmark a calculation.
The following limited categories of data may be processed automatically when you load the site:
- Server log data: our hosting provider Vercel records standard request metadata (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for up to a few days for abuse prevention and debugging. See Vercel's privacy policy.
- URL state: the values you enter are appended to the URL (e.g.
?pay=55000&pct=5) so links can be shared. This is not transmitted to us; it lives only in your browser tab and any link you choose to share. - Static data files: the page fetches small JSON files (federal tax brackets, state tax tables, CPI inflation, SS wage base) from this site to power the calculations. These are static and contain no personal data.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
Google AdSense
This site participates in Google AdSense, an advertising service provided by Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Our publisher ID is ca-pub-9952874348526064.
Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve advertisements based on your prior visits to this site and other websites. These technologies allow Google to display personalised advertisements and to measure their effectiveness.
Google may transfer this information to third parties where required by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Personal data may be processed in the United States; Google participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, providing an adequate level of protection under Art. 45 GDPR.
Your choices:
- EU/UK visitors will see a consent banner before any advertising cookies are set. Until consent is given, only non-personalised ads will be served.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising at google.com/settings/ads.
- You can opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices and youronlinechoices.eu.
- For full details, see Google's advertising policy and Google's privacy policy.
4. Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. Personal data (such as IP addresses in logs) may therefore be processed in the United States. Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, providing an adequate level of protection under Art. 45 GDPR.
5. Domain and DNS
The domain is registered through GoDaddy. WHOIS data is protected by GoDaddy's privacy service.
6. Legal bases
- Server logs and security: legitimate interest in operating the site (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).
- URL state: legitimate interest in providing shareable results (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).
- Advertising cookies (when active): consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR; § 25 (1) TTDSG).
7. Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to processing, and data portability of your personal data. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — for residents of Germany, the competent authority is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA).
To exercise any of these rights, contact info@handwerkwebsites.de.
8. Retention
We do not store personal data on our own servers. Vercel retains anonymised request logs for a short period (typically a few days).
9. Disclaimer
The Pay Raise Calculator is provided as an educational tool. Output is an estimate only and does not constitute legal, tax, or financial advice. Tax brackets and rates change — always consult a qualified tax professional before making decisions based on these calculations.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the site adds new functionality. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
